Day one of Mini-Missions Montgomery is finished and we had a ball! We started the day at the Caring Center. We split into five groups and worked with many parts of the ministry. Some of us hung clothes on hangers, others made caring bags to give to anyone in need, while still others worked in the food area. And that was all before 11 am!!! Next, we jetted to the Nehemiah Center for a Pizza Party, games, a devotional time and an Easter Egg Hunt! God blessed us today by the joy and excitement in the kids faces for us just to spend time with them and show them some love. We can't wait to see them at the zoo tomorrow!

Sunday Ministry

Today was awesome! I'm so proud of our students who stepped out of their comfort zones today and shared the Gospel with people across Times Square. Using gift cards, abc tracts, and Jesus films they approached strangers with the love and message of God. Some strangers were very open, some indifferent, and many turned us away....but each encounter was a victory in God's book. We also enjoyed worship at graffiti church, many subway rides, and the evening around 34th st and times square.

First evening in NYC

We arrived at the metro New York Baptist Association building where we are staying this week at around 4:30 PM today after a smooth flight and shuttle ride from LaGuardia Airporta!. We took a quick stroll to central park and then grabbed some groceries from Trader Joe's before heading to Times Square for dinner at John's pizzeria! This place is huge and really puts into perspective how big this world really is and how many lost people there are out there. Pray for us tomorrow as we attend church services here in Manhattan then do ministry to the street vendors...sharing the gospel with them.

FBMSM Missions Blog

We created this blog in order to keep those at home up to date on the ministry of our FBC Montgomery students on mission.  It's our prayer that we can look back on these memories and remember all that God was able to do through our students.
