Tuesday Ministry in NYC

Today we were around town from 8am until 9pm. We started the day with one group teaching English to South Asians again and one group doing service activities outside around Queens. After lunch at an authentic Indian restaurant complete with curry goat, each student received two $10 bills to give away to a stranger in a random act of kindness along with a gospel tract. Then we returned to ESL Center and led about 10 South Asian children in a Bible kids club. They were so cute and our students were so loving and helpful teaching them the story of Jesus and the crucifixion, making crafts, and playing games. We finished the day eating at Rockefeller Center, going up 70 floors to the Top of the Rock Observation Deck at sunset, then went ice skating in Rockefeller plaza. It was the ultimate day of ministry and tourism!

Lions and Tigers and Bears... COOL!!!

Day two was at the Zoo! We had a blast! After getting there around 10:30, we all split up with our assigned buddy for the day! I ran into a few of the groups as my group made the rounds, and everyone was enjoying the vast arrangement of animals that God created! From the Zoo giving us free train tickets, to Ed Cleveland leading us on a tour posing as an Australia tour guide, everything was quite entertaining and fun! Friendships were created, memories were made and the love of God was shown. Our youth are such ballers! Thank you all for your support and prayers!

Romans 1:20 "For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse."

Monday Ministry

Once again I'm so proud of our students as they lived for and shared Christ without fear today. This morning we left at 6:30 for the Today Show and actually got to stand behind matt, Ann, and Natalie......they even hugged us and shook our hands:) then we rode the subway to Queens and helped teach South Asians in the ESL....English as a second language...clinic. Half of the group did this, helping them with their English homework & teaching them this new language, while the other half went into Queens to a Hindu church and learned about the Indian culture of Queens. After lunch in a Tibetan restaurant w broke into groups and did a cultural scavenger hunt, meeting and talking to people from across the world. We met hundreds of people and could count on two hands the number of believers we encountered.....indicative of our lost world. But our students lovingly shared Gods truth both in ESL and the hunt. Then we ended the day in China Town/little Italy and an awesome Italian restaurant.
